The Theatre program at Crandall is rooted in the concept of storytelling – the narrative. Crandall promotes the belief that humans often chart a path toward truth through storytelling and Crandall welcomes students to deepen their understanding of the narrative and hone their skills as a storyteller as they participate in the Theatre program.
Special Program Highlights for the Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies
As students progress in their studying journey, they will:
Build a foundation in the theoretical concepts of storytelling at the beginning of their program.
Participate with other students in the Fall and Winter dramatic productions on campus.
Spend a year immersed in the profession of technical or performance theatre at Rosebud School of the Arts (Alberta) as part of their degree.
Have their life transformed through the internship option of participating in the Canadian Badlands Passion Play (Alberta).
Create a strategic network with professional actors and theatre personnel.
Enjoy the opportunity for international travel to either New York or London where they will enjoy and learn through top-notch professional performances.
Complete their program at Crandall by giving leadership to the Fall and Winter productions as a component of their final year of studies.

Minimum Level of Education Required: Grade 12 / High School
Min GPA: 70.0% Convert grades
English Proficiency Requirements:
For direct admission, applicant must be from an English speaking country or meet either of the following English test scores:
Min TOEFL iBT: 90 (Min Reading: 21.0, Min Writing: 21.0, Min Listening: 21.0, Min Speaking: 21.0)
Min IELTS overall: 6.5 (Min Reading: 6.0, Min Writing: 6.0, Min Listening: 6.0, Min Speaking: 6.0)
Min Duolingo English Test Score: 105
For conditional admission, instead of submitting language proficiency test scores, applicant may complete English courses prior to the academic program. The length of the English course is determined based on the applicant's level of English proficiency.
